NSW Local elections 2021

Council Candidates

PJ Collins – Randwick – East Ward

Why I’m Standing

I am a natural organiser and founder of the Arts Party. I have lived in the area for over 15 years and want to apply my skills to help move this community forward.

It’s time for fresh blood on council, the current councillors have done a great job but after decades of big party in-fighting it’s time for change, positive collaboration and new approaches. I want to encourage more community engagement through events, music, exhibitions and facilities, to make a great area even better. I want Randwick LGA to be the most creative, happy and connected community in Sydney!

Things I Want To Change In Randwick

Cultural Life For All
I believe we should all have access to creative works together as a shared experience. Be that, live music, outdoor theatre  and of course – Movies on the Beach! I was one of the organisers of the original Coogee Arts Festival, I  know this is possible and we should make it happen! I’m sure the Ritz would want to talk about possibilities and involvement.

Refresh our Parks
We are spending more time in public places thanks to COVID. All Randwick parks need to be assessed for new or upgraded facilities, including playgrounds, community barbeques, picnic tables and exercising (park gyms, walking, running and cycling paths)
